We see a world of great divides, people groomed on different sides
Problems manmade in our head, but we make our own bed
We have this beautiful Earth, with all its precious worth
Gifted everything we need, but encumbered by our greed?
Unnecessary gluttony, causes so much misery
Contributes to so much pain, the suffering is inhumane

This selfish animal trait, has left our planet in a state
The greediness is out of hand, even squabbling over land
People can’t afford to live, those who have don’t want to give
People just cannot play fair, still we haven’t learnt to share

All the greedy people, taking all the pie
All the greedy people, means others can’t get by
All the greedy people, the damage that they do
All the greedy people, look where they take us to

Services have gone to pot, because some take such a lot
It seems they can’t be satisfied, as they take us for a ride
Leaves nothing left to run the show, our resources running low
Life quality goes down the drain, society feels the strain

Our world is breaking down, unhappiness is all around
Sadness hanging in the air, people living in despair
Families break as they can’t cope, young people see no hope
What comes from gluttony, our inhumanity
