There once was a wonderful land, part of a wonderful plan
A plan from ET, a planet that was given free
A world where you could see, life of great variety
With animals everywhere, a wonderful world to share
The hope of the sage, was that the animals would come of age
But the plan just went to pot, when the animals wanted the lot
They bossed and bullied their way, the animals went astray
Snarling and growling, mauling and howling, going after their prey
Picking on quiet ones, that wanted to live in peace
Looking for vulnerable victims, and those that they could fleece
Taking what they could grab, and anything they could nab
Chasing their animal goal, they wanted to seize control
Using their teeth and claws, they started animal wars
Causing chaos, inflicting life-loss, licking their animal paws
Wagging their animal tails, they went off the animal rails
Spraying their animal scent, the animals were hellbent
Marking their territory, with animal poo and wee
It was a horrible smell, as they created animal hell
Their poor old animal brain, was feeling the animal strain
They just couldn’t understand, how to share the land
Or how to share the wealth, enjoy good living and health
And so, they spoilt the fun, with all the things they done
They didn’t have any respect, but what can you expect?
They didn’t have any morals, cos they’re just animals!
Isn’t it about time, we stopped behaving like animals?
We’re far enough down the line, that we should have some principles
We look so ridiculous, cos we should know better, by now
We seem so oblivious, to what we need to do and how
Don’t we want to civilise, join with life in our galaxy
Don’t we want to become wise, and join the party
There is so much to enjoy, if we can just all be friends
If we can learn not to destroy, and simply make amends
It’s time to come of age, time to grow up and put things right
It’s time to rid the rage, time to learn for us / to live within the light
It’s time to civilise, we don’t have to live like animals anymore
It’s time to realise, we don’t have to live like simple fools at war
Everyone can choose, how they want to be
No need to confuse, it’s simplicity
It’s time to rid the crime, that is the choice, that everyone must make
And where you end your time, will depend on the road you choose to take
Stop and look both ways, choose which way you go
And somewhere down that road, you will find your show
